Forests
The forests allow you to explore the trees built by the Decision Trees algorithm. To use these viewers, select the model on the left and then choose the tree you want to view using the combo box at the top of the viewer. You can use the controls to zoom the tree in and out and also to change the shading of the tree nodes. The default shading shows how many people fall into that node of the tree. You can change this to represent any state available in the tree. For example in the “Home Ownership” tree setting the shading to “Rent” will cause all of the nodes that contain a high percentage of renters to darken. You can also collapse and expand tree nodes, and browse the tree labels to see a histogram of the tree attribute at each node. If you want to know the overall survey responses, simply browse the root node of the tree – for example, the root of the Home Ownership tree shows that 65% of the respondents own their homes and 35% rent.
